Datenschutzerklärung
Privacy.
This website collects as little as it can: no cookies, no tracking, and a contact form that only forwards your message by email.
Who is responsible
Maike Buhr, Buhr Consulting & Advisory, Adlzreiterstr. 15, 80337 München, Germany. Email maike@buhr-consulting.com. Write to this address with any question about your data.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics and loads no content from other companies. Even its fonts come from our own server.
Server logs
When you open a page, our server records a shortened form of your IP address (with the last part removed), the time, the page requested and whether it was delivered. Nothing about your browser or the page you came from is recorded. We need this to keep the website secure and running, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted after 14 days.
The server is operated for us by Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany, under a data processing agreement.
Contact form
What you enter in the contact form (name, email address, company and message) is not stored on our web server. It is passed on once, by email, to Maike Buhr. The email is sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France), and Maike Buhr’s mailbox is hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). Both act on our behalf under data processing agreements. Brevo keeps its record of the email, including its content, for one month and then deletes it. Microsoft may also process data in the USA; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
We use your details only to answer your enquiry: to take steps at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or otherwise in our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your message is deleted after 30 days unless a conversation or business relationship follows; in that case we keep it for as long as that lasts, and afterwards for any period the law requires us to keep business correspondence.
To protect the form from misuse, the server counts how often it is sent from the same IP address. It does this in its working memory only and never writes the full address anywhere.
Using the form is voluntary. Without an email address we cannot reply.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to the data we hold about you, and for its correction or deletion. You can ask us to restrict how we use it, or to give it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. To do any of this, write to the address above.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
